.
Good day to you!
This week:
Listening
DAN MANGAN HAS A NEW ALBUM. Stop everything and download it now.
Misunderestimating
The 12 most misunderstood English words on PR Daily. The words are great, but the chart will blow your mind (provided you are a big nerd).
Learning
Did you know that The Beatles announced their break-up via press release? We’ve done that (okay, we didn’t secure as much editorial coverage as The Beatles, but it sure felt good). The worst part? They buried the lead.
Remembering
In a week marked by the news of [yet another] gay teen committing suicide after homophobic bullying, it feels appropriate to acknowledge the folks who are working to end bulling and homophobia in BC. Out in Schools has been working with teachers and parents in BC high schools since 2004, spreading a message of GLBTQ acceptance through film presentations. It’s a much-needed program; Nixey Communications is proud to support Out in Schools with cash, love and time. Please take a moment and watch this video, and consider donating. Out in Schools helps make schools safe.
