In 2009, Nature’s Path Organic Foods approached Nixey Communications for a last-minute project: a food-and-fundraiser for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank called ‘Put Your Compassion Into Action’. In just a few short days, we helped them raise more than $175,000 and 12,000 pounds of food for hungry Vancouverites (and also delivered $902,500 in added PR value). NIXEY COMMUNICATIONS DELIVERS $3.9 MILLION IN PR VALUE TO 2010 QUEER FILM FESTIVAL
In 2010, the Vancouver Queer Film Festival retained Nixey Communications as the official Publicity firm for the festival. The fabulous Lisa Schaffer tackled the challenge and worked like mad; when the dust settled, Lisa and our team had delivered $3.9 million in added PR value. One [fantastic] day in August, the Festival had coverage in every major newspaper in Vancouver – the dailies (front cover of The Sun’s Westcoast Life section, anyone?), the weeklies, and the speciality papers. We then added CBC, CTV, Citytv and TELUS TV into the mix for good measure. In the words of Drew Dennis (Out on Screen’s Executive Director): “Let’s face it, you just can’t buy that kind of public exposure. We were blown away!”. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

March 2010 – Who do you call when you need beautiful information brochures, compelling press kits, a corporate lexicon, and new headshots for your entire staff? Nixey Communications.
Vancouver’s Health Initiative for Men recently hired us to design their first-ever media kits, write a corporate lexicon, create new brochures and furnish everyone with snappy new photos (thanks to the talented team at Pacifica Photography).
Here’s what their fearless leader, Executive Director Wayne Robert, had to say: “We engaged Nixey Communications to create a broad range of fundamental communication documents describing novel, progressive and complex issues and activities. He quickly and cleverly distilled broad-ranging and intricate discussions into an outcome that was exactly what we were thinking, though not necessarily what we were saying!”
Thanks, Wayne. We’re blushing.
